Bannside Library responded to one of our digital billboard advertisements. This private library houses over 60,000 books at premises on the Newtownards Road and wished to establish an online presence prior to their grand opening in October 2015.
The manager wanted a visually appealing site with an e-commerce section and a functional database to allow users to search through the collection. As this was a new endeavour, BCS were asked to provide photographic services to take internal images of the library.
The new site has a bespoke database which can be searched online. It was created from the client’s original word document which we converted to a format suitable for the web. The site is SEO optimised and mobile friendly with an inbuilt content management system to enable the client to update both the site and the database as they wish. We provided training to key staff to enable them to undertake these updates themselves.
The site has an e-commerce section with paypal integration allowing a simple and efficient payment process for their users. Prior to launch we undertook user testing with some members to ensure that the site was fully responsive from multiple platforms and was easy to navigate.
Alongside the website, we created their social media profile on facebook and agreed a blog strategy to be implemented going forward to encourage users to visit the site more regularly.
If you are looking for a website designer your search should end here! BCS delivered everything we asked for and more. Andrew and his team are efficient, straightforward and yes, fun to work with. They listened to what our vision was and then steered us to exactly the right point of delivery.
We are so pleased with the package we continue to work with them to update our site and “keep our story alive.” If you choose to go with them and you aren’t happy with the outcome, well, I will eat my foot!
